2 MinProba title-fights on July 29

TWO Mindanao Professional Boxing Associational (MinProBA) title-fights will be held on July 29 at the Compostela Gym in Compostela, Davao de Oro.
The double-title holder pits newest MinProba mini-flyweight champion Richard Garde of Alalas Stable against Dexter “Iligan Cement Kidmama” Alimento of Cagayan de Oro City and undefeated Jing “Ego” Aguan of Kidapawan City against Jerry Pabila of Cotabato for the vacant MinProBA featherweight title.
It will be the first title-defense of Garde since he knocked out Ronald Ewican of Misamis in the 1st round last May in Pres Roxas, North Cotabato.
Alimento, on the other hand, recently lost by retirement to Richie "Magnum" Mepranum of Sarangani in the 1st round last March 9 in Norala.
Aguan made a successful comeback after a six-year hiatus. His most recent fight was his split decision victory against Mark Glen Antaran in M’lang last May 7.
Pabila, on the other hand, had already two fights this year.
He first won against Arnaud Darius Makita of Davao City via a technical knockout in the 3rd round last March 14 in T’Boli.
But Pabila lost by retirement in the 1st round to unbeaten Mark “Mighty” Antonio of Pres Roxas last May 7 in M’lang.
The boxing card, promoted by Sangguiang Bayan member Allan Calalas has six undercards.
Matchmaker is Rodel Garde.
It is sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board Davao Region Chapter headed by Arnulfo Sazon.
