1st South Luzon FIDE Rated chess tournament on March 12

MANILA---The Philippine Executive Chess Association (PECA) in cooperation with Laguna Chess Association (LCA) and Tabuko Chess Club will hold a 1st South Luzon FIDE Rated chess tournament on March 12 at the Centro Mall, Cabuyao City, Laguna.
The 7-round Swiss system competition will commence at 10:00 a.m. but a simple opening ceremony will be done to be graced by PECA President Dr. Fred Paez.
The champion will pocket P5,000, while the second to fifth placers will take take home P3,000, P2,000, P1,000 and P700, respectively. The sixth to 10th will receive P500 each.
The organizers will also be giving away cash prizes to top Executive as well as the top senior (60 years old and above), top junior (18 years old and below), top kiddie (12 years old and below), top lady and top unrated.
Players whose FIDE Ratings are 2100 below and active members of the NCFP are eligible to join.
Registration fee is P350 on or before March 10 or P450 on site registration.
Limited to 80 participants only.
