MANILA---Laguna Heroes returned to their winning ways after scoring a pair of triumphs in the 2022 Professional Chess Association of the Philippines (PCAP) online chess tournament virtually held at Chess.com Platform on Saturday night.
The inaugural champion climbed at number 3 spot of the Northern Division standings with 20-13 win-loss slate following a 19-2 victory over Isabela and 12-9 beating of Rizal.
"Rizal is a strong team. We were just lucky for beating them tonight. It was indeed a tight match," said Arena Grandmaster Dr. Fred Paez of Jolly Smile Dental Clinic, one of the four co-team owner of the Laguna Heroes that include Mr. David Nithyananthan of KALARO and Greatech Philippines, Inc., Engr.
