Salva to fight Galero on April 30 in Bukidnon

ORTHODOX Sammy “Silent Assassin” Salva of Gingoog City will fight Jeffrey “Jeffer” Galero of Cagayan de Oro City in the “Matira ang Matibay” on April 30 at the Dangcagan in Bukidnon.
They will be fighting for 8 rounds under the 105 pounds division.
“I’m excited for the fight since it’s the first since COVID-19,” said Salva, who has 18 wins, one loss and 11 knockouts.
He stopped former World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council Continental Minimumweight champion Donny “Mr. Shallow” Mabao in the 7th round in his last fight last January 19, 2020 held in Iligan City.
The 5-foot-1 Salva is now training under promoter-trainer Joven Jimenez in Lourdes Dangcagan, Bukidnon.
“I’m very thankful to promoter Joven Jimenez and former International Boxing Federation super flyweight champion Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas for promoting the boxing event since the COVIC-19 pandemic,” said the 25-year-old Salva.
It is the first promotion of Jimenez and Ancajas in Mindanao.
Salva, who is still 110 pounds, has Lito “Naruto” Dante (17-11-4, 9KOs) of Bohol as his sparring partner.
Galero, on the other hand, is taller than Salva by three inches,
He has 17 wins, seven loses and eight knockouts.
Galero was knocked out by Daiki Tomita of Japan in the 3rd round last April 7, 2019 in Sakai.
