Malony rules J and P 9-ball

MANILA---Fortunato "Atoy" Malony dominated the prestigious J and P 9-Ball Cup 2021 tournament Saturday night at the House Manila Pool Bar & Lounge, basement 1 of Holiday Inn Express, Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
Malony posted a 10-9 win over Tristan Tenio in the championship round of the tournament sanctioned by the Games and Amusements Board (GAB).
Malony joined 2018 titlist Anthony Capco in the list of winners.
With his latest feat, Malony will fly to Japan in an all expenses paid trip to compete in the Japan Tournament next year apart from the top purse worth P40,000 according to SEA Games BSCP Team Manager Jesse Gonzales Cambosa Sr. under the leadership of BSCP Chairman Aristeo "Putch" Puyat, acknowledged God Father of Philippine Billiards.
On the road to the finals, Malony bested Jojo Santos, 9-8, to arrange a titular showdown with Tenio, who brought down John Ray Arsenio, 9-7.
