CDO Electrocare Christmas chessfest gets going

The country's top woodpushers lead the hunt for top honors in the year-ending CDO Electrocare Christmas Free Registration Online Chess Tournament dubbed as "Pamaskong Handog 2020 sa Pinoy Chess Players" on December 22, 2020 at 1pm at lichess.org.
The one-day Open chessfest will have the time control of three minutes plus one second increment.
Among the early entries are Grandmasters Rogelio "Joey" Antonio Jr. and Darwin Laylo, Fide Master Roel Abelgas and National Masters Robert Arellano, Julius Sinangote, Alfred Acaling III and online Arena Grandmaster Glenn Lemen.
The champion takes home the top kitty worth P2,000 with the second placer getting P1,000, third placer P500, 4th placer P300 and 5th placer P200.
Sixth to 15th placer will receive P100 each while category winners for Top Senior (50 above, Top Lady, Top Kiddy ( 15 below) and Brilliancy Prize will get P300 each.
Organized by TIMY Group and Friends headed by 8x Illinois State Champion ( USA) IM Angelo Young and backed up by Capt. Elmer Cruz and Co.,Dr. Jenny Mayor,AGM Angelito Camer, Engr. Florentino Inumerable, Falco Family, Mr.Rajakatur, Mr. Cartagems and Ms. Aireen Grace Young.
