The Rockets finished the first half well ahead, 72-43, and led the Knicks in all major statistical categories, most tellingly the 50 percent shooting from the field, 41.4 percent from the 3-point arc, and 72.7 percent from the free throw line. Houston also grabbed 30 rebounds and dished 16 dimes. The first half even produced the team's first double-double for the evening from center Clint Capela who had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Reigning Last MVP, James Harden banked 16 points in the half while forward PJ Tucker notched 11 points. No Knicks player scored in the double digits for the half. Rockets All-Star guard Chris Paul grabbed his own double-double just before the end of the third quarter with 11 points and 10 assists. The end of the night fared even better for the Rockets as Capela closed out with 12 points and 15 rebounds while Harden banked a total of 26 points. Seven Rockets players ended with double digit points. Although the Knicks did not lead once during the game, one bright spot for the team was forward Mario Hezonja who grabbed the game's only triple-double with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 assists. The Rockets will host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday in their last home game in Houston while the Knicks will host the Washington Wizards that same evening.
