AGUELO STOPS BETOS IN FOUR ROUNDS IN MAASIN CITY FIESTA BOUTS By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Thu, 18 Aug 2016 Rex Wakee Salud boxing luminary Adones Aguelo dominated Richard Betos from the first round until he stopped him with combinations to the body and head in the fourth round at the Maasin City Gym. Aguelo, who hails from Barangay Matin-aw of this city, showed amazing brawn and dexterity to the amazement of the home fans last Tuesday, a day after the fiesta celebration. Betos countered with some upper cuts and straights but most of them just hit the air. Aguelo?s solid fortress was just too hard to break through. The Barobo, Surigao del Sur native tasted the sting of the Philippine Boxing Federation?s punches in the third round and he began to clinch. Referee Tony Pesons counted him out and declared Aguelo the winner by knockout just 44 seconds of the fourth canto.
