NBA -- Thompson, Green power Warriors past Clippers
By Carmen Balmaceda PhilBoxing.com Mon, 22 Feb 2016

LOS ANGELES -- Steph Curry didn't have a good shooting night, making only 5-of-15 from the field to finish with just 23 points. But Klay Thompson and Draymond Green came up big Saturday night as the Warriors soared to a league-best 49.5 record.
Thompson carded a game-high 32 points while Green posted a triple-double (18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists) to lead the Warriors past the Los Angeles Clippers, 115-112, at Staples Center.
The Warriors, who shot 51.2 percent from the field, also got 18 points from Harrison Barnes while Andre Iguodala added 10 off the bench. It was a nice bounce-back win for Golden State, which got pummeled by 32 points in Portland on Friday night.
Jamal Crawford paced the Clippers with 25 points while Chris Paul chipped in 24 and six assists. The Clips converted only 42 of 94 shots (44.7 percent) and fell to 36-19 in the standings, fourth place in the talent-loaded Western Conference.
Against an explosive Clippers team, the Warriors set the tone early and jumped to a 33-20 after one quarter of play. Down 115-99 with only 2:27 left to play, the Clippers made it interesting by going on a 13-0 run, but they couldn't pull a stunning reversal after a C.J. Wilcox 3 fell short as time expired.
