NBA -- ​Knicks extinguish Heat, win three straight

MIAMI -- Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks strutted into American Airlines Arena Wednesday evening and notched their third consecutive victory with an impressive 98-90 domination of the Miami Heat.
The Knicks snapped an 8-game losing skid against Miami as Anthony scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Center Robin Lopez added 19 points while rookie Kristaps Porzingis chipped in 12 points.
The Knicks shot efficiently from the field (55 percent) and they limited Miami to a paltry 11 percent (2 for 17) from outside the arc en route to their third 18th win of the season, matching last season's total.
"We're still trying to find our identity," Anthony said after the game. "These past three games we've shown something. And it wasn't just me."
Knicks head coach Derek Fisher saw the same, "We were intense, but there was a relaxed look, as if we were in control of what we wanted to do."
Fisher added . "It takes a while to develop that, and it's hard to keep that."
The game was another lost opportunity for the Heat to extend a three-game winning streak , their fourth attempt of the season.
Miami is staring at 14 out of their next 16 games on the road. They will face the Phoenix In the valley of the sun on Friday.
