Bantamweight Marlon Tapales earned a shot at the WBO world title currently held by Thai Pungluang Sor Singyu after stopping Shohei Omori of Japan in two rounds in Kyoto in their WBO bantamweight eliminator two weeks ago. Manny Pacquiao returning to the ring will generate a lot of media mileage for the sport of boxing here in the Philippines but what about his political plans?
