LEYTE SPORTS ACADEMY DOMINATES BOXING IN BATANG PINOY VISAYAS LEG

Leyte Sports Academy (LSA) dominated the boxing event in the 2015 Batang Pinoy Visayas leg at Romblon, Romblon.
Nine golds were contested for the Kids and School Boys divisions where LSA garnered three golds and one silver medal while Sipalay City and Escalante City won two golds each in boxing.
?We just showed how we trained for this tournament and I thanked our boxers for their performance," said coach Nelson Factoranan, himself a former national team boxer.
One of the most exciting fights in the finals was that of 2015 Palarong Pambansa medalists Mileni?o Anduyan of LSA and Lloyd Jabez Antoque of Tagbilaran City in the School Boys pinweight division.
Palaro bronze medalist Anduyan threw more punches for a 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 unanimous decision win against two-time Palaro gold medalist Antoque.
Another LSA stalwart Ramil Pingol dominated Angel Abajeto of Bago City especially in the third round for a unanimous decision win in the School Boys light paperweight division.
The third LSA winner Carl Lester Oledan rallied in the third and final round to edge Carlo Guevarra of Bago City by split decision in the School Boys paperweight class.
Christian Brando salvaged a silver for LSA in the School Boys mosquitoweight division when he was defeated by Greg Pableo Jr. of Escalante City.
Robert Agupasa gave Escalante City its second gold medal in the Kids minimumweight division.
Lorenz John Torela of Kids vacuumweight division and Charlie Calago of Kids antweight division won the two golds for Sipalay City.
Relson Inojales of Tagbilaran City in the School Boys light pinweight division and Justin Victoriano of Iloilo in the School Boys light bantamweight division were the other two gold medal winners.
