NBA -- Mavs bulk up roster with Stoudemire signing

CHICAGO -- Two days after his contract was bought out by the New York Knicks, power forward Amare Stoudemire hitched his wagon with the Dallas Mavericks.
The 6-foot-10, 245-pound Stoudemire, a six-time All-Star, is entering his 13th season in the NBA. His career averages are 20 points and 8.2 rebounds an outing. The 32-year old Amare appeared in 36 games as a Knicks this season and he normed 12 points and 6.8 rebounds per.
"To play alongside Dirk Nowitzki, Tyson Chandler and other great players, I think it's a tremendous opportunity for me to compete for a championship," Stoudemire told the Associated Press. (HDS)
