MAASIN CITY AMATEUR BOXERS WIN IN THE AGUELO ABF TITLE FIGHT UNDERCARD

Six bouts featuring Maasin City amateur boxers served as curtain raisers during the Asian Boxing Federation lightweight title fight won by Adones Aguelo Singwangcha over Indonesian Elly Ray Tuesday at the Maasin City Gym.
Shaquel Miole edged Seith Gentallan of Bohol by split decision in the 44 kg. division.
Romie Evale prevailed over Regie Suganob of Bohol by split decision in the 47 kg. category.
Jolito Catagasan dominated Rodel Suganob of Bohol by unanimous decision in the 52 kg. level.
Edillo Abrea of Maasin City stopped Joseph Orevillo of Bohol by TKO in the first round.
Two Maasin boxers however were not successful. Monsour Grullo lost to Jervin Salicinas of Matalom, Leyte by split decision in the 50kg. bout while Daryl Ramos was defeated by Antonio Siesmundo of Bohol by unanimous decision in the 58 kg. fight.
The bouts were supervised by the Southern Leyte Boxing Association. Amateur bouts were always featured as undercard of the professional boxing fights in the city.
