MIAMI--Injuries have marred the Miami Heat's campaign once again but that didn't stop the team from extending its winning streak to three games since after All-Star break with a thrilling 101-93 overtime victory against the also resilient Indiana Pacers at American Airlines Arena.

Miami is still missing Tyler Johnson ( shoulder) and Chris Bosh ( blood clots). Even the part of the Heat's coaching staff were absent Monday night like assistant coach Juwan Howard, who was in Chicago following the death of his mother and assistant Keith Smart, who is recovering from skin cancer surgery and chemotherapy.

"What's going to break us?" Dwyane Wade, who returned from a two-game absence himself said. "That's the character of this team. We're tough."

Goran Dragic led the way with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Hassan Whiteside added 19 points and 18 rebounds off the bench and Wade shrugged off a rough shooting night (4 of 21 field goals) en route to 16 points for Miami.

Reserve guard Beno Udrih left the game in first half due to a foot injury and Loul Deng appeared to join the list of unserviceable players when a suffered a dislocated finger towards the end of the third but later returned.

Indiana had another good in start in Miami as the led as much as 14 points in the first quarter before faltering once more for the rest of the game.

Despite that the Pacers still had a chance to win in regulation but Monta Ellis, who also struggled in the game, missed the first of his two free throws but he did manage the to convert the second one sending the game into overtime at 88 all.

Miami then out scored the pacers in the extra period 13-5 for the final score. The Heat out rounded the Pacers 81-57 with 20 of those in the offensive boards

Paul George led all Indiana scorers with 31 points while Rookie Myles Turner finished with 16 points as well.

"It's the same story every time we're here," said George after the game . "We control the game for so long and then it's always late in the game where it gets away from us. It's always been the story and really our history here."

Miami's next opponent is the almighty Golden State Warriors, which leads the NBA with a 50-5 record, this coming Wednesday Feb. 24.

Indiana's next opponent is the Knicks of New York this coming Wednesday, Feb. 24.
