Team Pacman worried
By Robbie Pangilinan PhilBoxing.com Sat, 11 Oct 2014

The training team behind eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao is worried about his playing for the PBA.
Buboy Fernandez, Freddie Roach and Bob Arum are all excited, but concerned as well, as the Pambansang Kamao debuts as playing coach for newcomer Kia Motors.
The People?s Champ is excited to play basketball, more excited than about his upcoming WBO Welterweight title fight against Chris Algieri on November 22 at the Cotai Arena in the Venetian in Macau, China.
?I am just worried that Pacquiao won?t be focused on an unknown but dangerous Algieri. The 30-year-old American challenger is undefeated in 20 bouts with eight coming by knockout,? said Top Rank?s top man Arum. Pacquiao has a record of 56-5-2 with 38 KOs.
Coach Roach is worried that Manny might get accidental injury during his PBA stint, which starts on October 19.
But Pacquiao promised that he will play just for a few minutes, as he does not want to disappoint his basketball fans.
?Sandali lang ako maglalaro, and that?s it. Sa dami ng manonood, ayaw ko silang biguin,? he said. He reportedly invited all his constituents at Sarangani and General Santos City, as well as his whole family.
Trainer Fernandez is both excited and nervous.
?Iba kasi sa basketball. Hindi mo alam kung saan darating yung injury at saang part ng katawan ka tatamaan after ng game. ?Di katulad sa boxing, madali mo madetermine,? said Fernandez, who is Pacquiao?s childhood friend.
Though Pacquiao may seem distracted with many other things, including the PBA, his work as Congressman of Sarangani, his endorsements and businesses, he is still favored to win against Algieri.
Despite the worries, Arum is still proud of Manny for finding another love besides boxing; and Fernandez still hopes for all the best for Manny. #
