THE WEATHER LIKE MAYWEATHER

PhilBoxing.com

Weather, according to Wikipedia, is the state of the atmosphere, to the degree that it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. The phenomena include wind, cloud, rain, snow, fog and dust storms and likewise natural disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons and ice storms.

In our country, typhoons and cyclones caused great damage to life and property more than all the other calamities combined. They caused flashfloods, landslides, and storm surges.

The majority of storms form between June and November while tropical cyclone formation is at the least between December and May.

Heavy rains due to the storm "Mario" and the seasonal monsoon caused widespread flooding Friday in Metro Manila and the adjacent provinces, closing schools and government offices.

Government data shows that at least 113 evacuation centers are housing at least 10,320 families or 51,772 persons.

Like the disturbances in the weather, Floyd Mayweather is powerful, destructive and hostile. Lately he dominated Marcos Maidana, throwing disastrous punches and win convincingly on points.

Though, he slowed a little bit by age, the storm that is Mayweather still wrought havoc on his opponents and remained world's top boxer and highest paid athlete.

After his latest victory, a collision with another typhoon Manny Pacquiao looked inevitable.

"I got to go back and talk to my team. I'm not ducking or dodging no opponent. If the Manny Pacquiao fight presents itself, let?s make it happen," he roared atop the ring and echoed all over the world like a magnificent typhoon warning signal.

Now Mayweather is beginning to get another set of alibi. He said that for the megafight to push through it will be under the terms set by him, the number one pound-for-pound boxer of the world.

?He?s all talk. Until now he has not yet agreed to fight me. Instead of blabbing, he should face me atop the ring,? Pacquiao told AFP in an interview.

The deadliest typhoons occured in November (Yolanda and Winnie), December (Pablo and Reming), September (Nitang), and June (Frank).

Destructive typhoon Ondoy flooded Metro Manila like Mario in the month of September in 2009. Likewise the powerful Pedring hit NCR in the same month in 2011.

There are less typhoons in May where it us summer in the Philippines and spring in the United States. The weather in the month of May is pacified than the rest. The typhoon keeps changing its course and will not make landfall like Mayweather who keeps changing his mind.

If there could be no collision between two devastating cyclones Money and Manny, the world could not see this "perfect storm" happening.
