"Iron" Will gets a Brazilian PhilBoxing.com Tue, 09 Sep 2014 Toowoomba's own Australian Featherweight champion "Iron" Will Young is set to have his first international bout as a professional when he takes on Brazilian Reginaldo Carvalho on the "Smithy brings the big fights 8" card on October 31 at Rumours International in Toowoomba. Young is coming off an impressive unanimous decision win over Emanuel Micallef for the Australian Featherweight title in July and now looks to take this form to the international scene when he takes on the much more experienced Carvalho. "I'm going in to this fight with a good base behind me after my last fight in Toowoomba," said Young. "With that fitness and strength it has given me a lot of confidence in myself. I have respect for Reginaldo but I want this to be a shut out." Promoter Brendon Smith is excited to add another international match up to the card which is shaping up to be an Australia vs Brazil affair. "This is a great fight for Will but it is a big step up in experience," said Smith. "I am very excited to add another international fight to this card.
