Zurich, Switzerland (August 31, 2014)--On Saturday night, August 30, Benedikt Poelchau of (Blanko Sports), held a very successful night of boxing in Volkshaus Zurich, Switzerland. The young passionate promoter put on a great night of boxing that was headlined by the very popular Hungarian middleweight Istvan ?The Prince? Szili appearing in a 12-round Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) world championship bout.
Szili (18-0-2, 8KO?s), of Szombathely, Hungary took on the German International champion Matthias Zemski (13-2, 3 KO?s), who coming into the bout was riding a 5 fight winning streak, during his streak he defeated the undefeated Vito Vendetta and Amir Khan of Germany not to be confused with the British world champion Amir Khan in the welterweight division.
It was clear from the opening bell that Zemski came to fight and was determined to extend his winning streak, he was showcasing his technical boxing skills however as the rounds progressed it was clear that Szili was the more skilled, much stronger, faster, and accurate fighter of the two.
Every punch that Szili threw it was with bad intentions; his punches were loud and threw thunderous combinations against the tough and determined Zemski. As the fight progressed towards the 5th round Szili was methodically breaking down Zemski. In round 6 Szili was landed his arsenal and will and caught Zemski with textbook combinations that sent Zemski down unable to get back to his feet.
Szili won the Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) world middleweight title.
After the fight Szili stated ?I want to thank everyone who attended this event, my trainers, my manager, promoter, all my friends and family members. I would like to thank the UBF for providing me this great opportunity.
When asked what was next the Hungarian quickly responded ?I want GGG, Cotto, etc. I am honestly I am ready for all challenges; I never turn down any fight nor ever will. America I am coming.
