Szili ready to capture UBF world title

PhilBoxing.com

Volkshaus, Zurich, Switzerland (August 28, 2014)--On Saturday night, August 30, Blanko Sports heads Zurich, Switzerland for a big night of boxing that will be headlined by the very popular Hungarian middleweight Istvan Szili appearing in an 12-round Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) world championship bout.

The show is promoted by Benedikt Poelchau of (Blanko Sports), who is quickly becoming a well known figure in the European boxing community. The fast rising European promoter is based in London, UK and Hamburg, Germany; he was also successful in promoting a boxing show last year in the state of Texas in the United States:

"I'm happy there was a sanctioning body that could see the talent and warrior spirit of Istvan "The Prince" Szili. I hope he will become UBF-World-Champ, Saturday he faces a tough opponent in Matthias Zemski from Germany. If Szili is victorious we will do everything in our power to have him challenge the best in America.

Szili (17-0-2, 7KO?s), of Szombathely, Hungary is coming off two draws in his last two championship bouts. His last bout was against the multi-time Italian middleweight champion Matteo Signani of Savignano sul Rubicone, Emilia Romagna, Italy. On May 2nd, 2014, he two battled for the vacant EBU-EU (European Union) middleweight title.

Prior to facing Signani, the Hungarian fought the former WBO Inter-Continental, WBC Mediterranean middleweight champion Goekalp Oezekler after 12 rounds of war the fight was declared a draw.

Now in his third back to back championship bout Szili hopes the third time is a charm.

When asked about this opportunity the Hungarian quickly responded ?I fought over 250 Amateur fights for the Hungarian national team, fought 2 world-championships and defeated some of the best boxers during that time. Now I'm 17-0 as a pro and ready to capture my first world title. I hope this will be my last fight in Europe. I'm ready to come over to the USA and fight the best in the middleweight division. Fighters such as Golovkin, Cotto, Martinez, Quillin, Felix Sturm, It really doesn't matter for me. I was born as a fighter and will step into the ring with anybody. USA - The Prince is coming."

Before facing the elite fighters in the division he would have to face Mathias Zemski (13-1, 3 KO?s) of Rohndorf, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. Zemski who currently holds the German International light middleweight title looks to extend his winning streak to six wins in a row. During his streak he defeated the undefeated Vito Vendetta and Amir Khan of Germany not to be confused with the British world champion Amir Khan in the welterweight division.

Zemski, might be looking past Szili as he is already scheduled to fight yet again on October 4th, 2014 against Tom Reiche and again on December 6th 2014 against a TBA.

75% of tickets have been sold out and fans are encouraged to buy tickets via at the venue.
