Thursday, July 31, in Gracia 4 & 8 (Level 3, West End Tower) at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (3708 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV 89109). Media may report at 1:00 p.m. The press conference will begin at 1:30 p.m. PT. The fighters and their teams will be available for one-on-one interviews. The press conference will be streamed live, beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT, via www.toprank.tv. Rios (31-2-1, 22 KOs), of Oxnard, Calif., will be making his eagerly-anticipated 2014 debut against one-time interim world champion Chaves (23-1, 19 KOs), of Buenos Aires, in a 10-round welterweight battle. Vargas (24-0, 9 KOs), of Las Vegas, NV, making his first title defense a homecoming, will rumble with undefeated contender Novikov (29-0, 10 KOs), of Kopeysk, Russia.
