The Boxing Revolution on June 28 at Almendras gym

FORMER World Boxing Council (WBC) flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro of the Philippines will fight Indonesian national super flyweight king Ichbal Tobida in the main event of The Boxing Revolution I set on June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Almendras Gym.
?This is the initial boxing presentation of the Sonshine Sports Management,? said former Cotabato Gov. Manny Pi?ol at the Kapehan sa Dabaw held at SM Davao Annex yesterday.
Jaro and Tobida will be fighting the vacant Asia Boxing Federation (ABF) superflyweight 115-lbs. title for 12 rounds.
Two exciting match-ups are also added in the card held for the benefit of The Cor Jesu Law College Bar Examination operations 2014.
Ex-World Boxing Organization Oriental champion Lorenzo ?Thunderbolt? Villanueva of Midsayap, North Cotabato will face ex-WBC Intercontinental and WBA Asia champion Hendrik Barongsay of Jakarta, Indonesia for the Reigning Philippine junior welterweight champion Adonis Cabalquinto of Davao del Norte will stake his title against dangerous challenger Giovane Rota of Laguna.
Nine more additional pairs featuring young and upcoming Filipino fighters are added in the undercard.
?All fights will be shown on SMNI Sports Channel 39,? said Pinol.
Tickets are pegged at only P100 for the general admission.
The boxing event is backed up by international evangelist Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, who dreams of bringing also other world or international sports events here in Davao City after the completion of their 65,000 seater Kingdome. ? LITO DELOS REYES
