PhilBoxing.com Mon, 16 Jun 2014

Filipino star and adopted Toowoomba son "The Assassin" Jack Asis is set to return to the ring when he rematches tough Indonesian Revo Rengkung on the undercard of "Smithy Brings the Big Fights 7" on July 4 at Rumours International in Toowoomba.
The pair, who each have over 50 fights as a professional, last met in March 2013 in Townsville where it was Asis who scored a points victory. Since then both fighters have been very active including Jack scoring a controversial draw for the WBC Asia Council Continental title, while Rengkung has had big fights all over the world including Thailand and Japan.
According to promoter Brendon Smith, Toowoomba can expect an explosive fight from the pair on July 4.
"I'm very excited about this match up," said Smith.
"Revo is a very strong fighter and will be chasing redemption while Jack will be aiming to score another good win and cement his position in contention for another title shot. They are both very experienced and will lay it all on the line on July 4".
This fight will take place on the undercard of "Smithy Brings the Big Fights 7" at Rumours International in Toowoomba. Headlining the fight night will be the long awaited rematch of former two time world champion Michael Katsids "The Great" against England's Graham "Duke of" Earl for the WBU world junior welterweight championship. As well as this "The Great White" Brayd Smith will defend his WBC world youth silver title against Tanzanian champion Jay Jay Ngotiko. Also on the card will be the battle of the big men "The Hermanator" Herman Ene-Purcell vs "Frosty the ice man" Jamie Frost. "Iron" Will Young will square off against Emanuel Micallef for the Australian featherweight title. English import Darren "The Cumbrian Cyclone" will take on Indonesian Eddy Comaro as well as fellow Englishman Josh "The Boss" Baillie vs Kyle "Tank" Teer. Tressa "T-Rex" Lindenberg will also be on the card.
Tickets are on sale now at Smithy's Gym. The prices are the same as the previous event at $95 for Ringside A, $75 for Ringside B and $55 for general tickets.
