IS GOLDEN BOY COOKING UP SOMETHING?

PhilBoxing.com

Las Vegas--After the post fight interviews at the Media Center of Mandalay Bay, I caught up with Sugar Shane Mosley. He was very accomodating and smile was always there. Unlike The Executioner, Mosley stayed and talked to media people. Hopkins ran after the post fight interview, like he really ran with his bodyguards, it seems like he's in a hurry or he just don't like to hang around anymore.

I asked Mosley who he wants to see next for Marquez, he told me that he'd like to see a Barrera rematch. How about Pacquiao I asked, he said he'd rather see a Barrera rematch than a Pacquiao rematch, coz they're evenly matched, and "I think" people loved it. He also added that, Pacquiao is too strong for the two (Barrera and Marquez). So I asked him, you'd rather see Pacquiao going up to 135lbs.? Sugar Shane said that Manny can go up to 147lbs with his power.

So, Duljoman speculating that maybe, GBP is trying to create a new and interesting story within 130lbs, eliminating Manny. On the other hand, Hopkins on the post fight conference also said, that Barrera-Marquez fight is a front runner for fight of the year, and we like to see another one! Are they trying to create a new story here? said a Japanese guy (ring magazine) who scored a draw for Pe?alosa-deLeon fight.

If GBP will not be successful on the case against Bob Arum, they might just make noise with their own superfeathers (Barrera, Marquez, Guzman etc.) And perhaps force Pacman to move on higher weight class, due to scarcity of opponents. This is just a speculation from what I've observed at the post fight interviews.

Also, Marquez answered from a Telemundo reporter that he'd give Barrera a quick rematch if he wants. Why not say, "this win legitimize that I am the righteous opponent for Pacquiao", if Marquez wants a mega fight. I asked him a follow-up question, "which one is a more difficult fight for you, this fight or Pacquiao's?", Marquez looking to his interpreter at right side, and Marquez's answered "Pacquiao".

Kumbatea!
