Pastor reaches out to Pacquiao By Robbie Pangilinan PhilBoxing.com Tue, 13 May 2014 A Pastor was deeply touched with the life of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao that he wrote a letter of request to the Pambansang Kamao. Pastor Reggie Tamoro Jr., born and raised in the USA, was able to watch the eight division world champion?s fight with some of his Pastor friends from Bohol. He purchased extra tickets for them to be able to see the boxing match live, something they have not experienced before. Affiliated with Angel Aid World Missions, a non-profit organization based in the Victorville area of California, Pastor Reggie and Mary Jane, his wife of 42 years, have been missionaries for the last 12 years in different countries. The missionary couple have been evangelizing and sharing God?s word through evening crusades and also through film showing. They give new believers free Bibles in Cebuano. ?Our film showing ministry is the main reason for this letter. We had the opportunity to preview the recently released movie of your life. We were very touched and moved by the movie. Once your film is made available to the public, we would like to purchase a copy, and receive your permission to use it during our film showing and make it available to many Filipinos in their barangays where most of them will never get a chance to watch it. Because of your confession of faith and your relationship with the Lord as showed in the movie, we feel that people will be touched and lives will be changed and saved,? the letter said. Pastor Reggie wants to take the opportunity to present his request from the Pacman himself, if given the opportunity. He said it will be a great honor to shake the hand of the world champion. Pastor Reggie and Mary Jane have been full time missionaries in the Philippines since 2006, presently based in Panglao Island, Bohol. During last year?s 7.2 earthquake, the Pastor led numerous food distribution programs to help and minister to the earthquake victims. They also had a mission trip in Tacloban, where they ministered to victims of super typhoon Yolanda. Angel Aid World Missions has recruited and trained short-term American missionaries for mission trips to the Philippines. Pastor Reggie ended his letter with blessings for Pacquiao and his family, including a safe and blessed pregnancy and delivery for Jinkee. ?May the Lord give the both of you guidance, wisdom and strength in your pursue to do his will,? ends the letter.
