STIVERNE STOPS ARREOLA IN 6TH TO CAPTURE WBC HEAVYWEIGHT CROWN (PHOTOS)

LOS ANGELES -- Haitian-born Bername Stiverne (24-1-1, 21KO) stopped Chris Arreola (36-4) in the 6th round at the Galen Center on USC's campus Saturday night to capture the vacant WBC Heavyweight Title. Stiverne dropped Arreola twice in the sixth before referee Jack Reiss stopped the fight with 39 seconds left in the round.
