SALUDAR GEARS UP FOR ARROYO
By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Sat, 10 May 2014
 Saludar.
Training hard inside Dr. Yraola?s gym in Quezon City is Froilan Saludar, who will be headed to Puerto Rico for an IBF flyweight eliminator against McWilliams Arroyo on May 31.
Trainer Jun Agrabio told philboxing that Saludar is spending longer hours in the gym, more than he is accustomed to, and he is confident that Saludar will be in great shape for this important fight.
IBF flyweight champion Amnat Ruenroeng of Thailand just retained his title by split decision against Kazuto Ioka of Japan. Ruenroeng and the winner of Saludar vs Arroyo could also be headed for a showdown against Chinese star Zou Shiming.
This will be the first overseas outing as a pro for the 25 year old Saludar (19-0-1,12KO?s). He had three fights last year against Julios Alcos (W UD10), Tawanrung Euasampan of Thailand (UD10) and Rogen Flores (TKO2).
Agrabio also stated that Saludar?s performance last year is deceptive, ?Now that he is training longer here in the gym, he will be at his best in Puerto Rico.? Saludar has held WBO regional and youth titles.
The 28 year old Arroyo (14-1,12KO?s) is a former world amateur champion but as a pro he has fought almost exclusively in his home country.
