NBA -- Noah's triple-double propels Bulls to sixth straight win By Kristy Gonowon PhilBoxing.com Fri, 11 Apr 2014 ![]() CHICAGO -- All-Star Joakim Noah scored 15 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished 11 assists to power the Chicago Bulls past the Minnesota Timberwolves, 102-87, Wednesday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The triple-double was Noah's fourth of the season, tying him with Indiana's Lance Stephenson to lead the NBA. Noah's all-around effort also pushed the Bulls to their sixth straight win, keeping them in the hunt for the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs with a 46-32 record. "It feels good to play well. I feel real comfortable making plays for my teammates being aggressive when I have to. All this stuff is just giving me more confidence," Noah told NBA.com. D.J. Augustin reinforced Noah with a team-high 21 points while Kirk Hinrich added 16. Mike Dunleavy tallied 15 and five rebounds while power forward Taj Gibson accounted for 13 and five boards. The Bulls, currently in fourth place and in pace to face the No.1 seed in the second round of the playoffs, host the disappointing Detroit Pistons Friday night at the United Center. Despite missing five key players due to injuries, the Timberwolves showed some bite and took a 53-48 halftime advantage. But Chicago's No.1 defense took care of business and held Minnesota to 34 second half points. Kevin Love posted 17 points and 10 boards for the Wolves, but the sweet-shooting forward made on 7 of 20 field goals. Ricky Rubio finished with 15 and six assists for Minnesota while Ronnie Turiaf had 11. (KG) Photo: Joakim Noah lays in the ball for Bulls' points against the Timberwolves.
