NBA -- Brewer returns to Bulls' lineup
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Tue, 08 Apr 2014

CHICAGO -- A familiar face is making a return engagement with the Chicago Bulls, just in time for the NBA playoffs which kicks off on April 19.
The Chicago Bulls announced Monday afternoon the free agent signing of 29-year old Ronnie Brewer, a 6-foot-7, 235-pound guard who was once a member of Chicago fan popular Mob Squad alongside Omer Asik, Kyle Korver and Nate Robinson, all of whom have left the Bulls for greener pastures elsewhere..
Brewer averaged 6.5 points and 3.4 boards in his previous tour with the Bulls from 2010 to 2012. He left Chicago in 2012 after the Bulls declined the team option of $4.7 million remaining on his contract. He had since played for the New York Knicks, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets, who released him last February.
"I'm very excited to be playing (for Tom Thibodeau). He's a tough coach. I play hard and try to hustle. That's the type of players he likes. I'm just happy to be back with some of my old teammates," Brewer told the Chicago Tribune at the Berto Center, Bulls practice facility.
"He has the characteristics that we look for -- high character, smart and plays for the team. It's good insurance to have," Thibodeau also told The Tribune. (Homer D. Sayson)
