 Acu?a.
With powerful steady attacks, charming fighter lady Marcela "La Tigresa" Acu?a overpowered in six rounds Mexican challenger Estrella "La Chacala" Valvelderde to retain her WBO Super Bantamweight (122 lbs) World Title tonight (March 28) at the Villa Maria Municipal Amphitheater in Cordoba, Argentina.
Throughout the combat, the taller Marcela Acu?a (41-6-1, 18 KO's) kept on pressing forward, scoring damaging combinations over the brave 28-year-old Mexican who had weapons to counter-attack the pressure and sustain rain of blows dished out by the gorgeous Argentinian World Champion.
During the heated action, an accidental clash of heads left a swelling over the right eyelid of the Mexican challenger, but the real hurt came from the continuous sharp right-handed crosses to her chin thrown at her by the lovely Acu?a.
Those accurate bombs were followed up by lethal straight and hooks that did not miss he head of the Mexican, victimizing her till her demise during the rough action in the sixth stanza.
The referee Mr. Jorge Bacile declared Marcela Acu?a winner by the technical KO in round 6, the 41st win in her shinning fighting career. Jorge Molina was the supervisor by the WBO.
"La Tigresa" Acu?a - who has been a pro fighter since 1997 - has been champion for the world for years, capturing all world titles available, dominating her weight class and becoming a unified WBC/WBA Super Bantamweight World Champion. To some of her many fans, Marcela could be one day a possible Hall of Famer.
However, while being at the top of her game and undisputed queen of the Super bantamweight division, she retired from the ring.
But the exciting Marcela "La Tigresa" Acu?a is back in boxing, becoming once again a Super Bantamweight Queen, and still being one of the prettiest female warriors in the sport of boxing.
