SALT LAKE CITY -- Make it 10 in a row for the Clips.
The Los Angeles Clippers now own the league's longest active winning streak by beating the Utah Jazz, 96-87, Friday night at the Energy Solutions Arena.
Power forward Blake Griffin had 20 and five rebounds, enough to lead the visitors, who improved to 47-20, third-best in the tight Western Conference. Chris Paul, who had his ankle re-taped, finished with 18 points and seven assists.
The Clips, who also got 15 points from Matt Barnes and 10 rebounds from DeAndre Jordan, trailed 51-43 at the half before turning it around in the third quarter with a 34-21 spurt.
"We played defense in the second half....(They had) 36 points in the second half. They had 33 in the first quarter," Clips head coach Doc Rivers told reporters during his post-game press conference.
Trey Burke paced the Jazz with 18 points while Derrick Favors added another 18 with nine boards. Richard Jefferson had 14 and Enes Kanter finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Jazz, who fell to 22-44 for the season. (PJC)
