NBA -- Noah's triple-double sinks Knicks at U.C.
By Marco Del Castillo PhilBoxing.com Mon, 03 Mar 2014

CHICAGO -- Joakim Noah recorded the fifth triple-double of his decorated career Sunday afternoon at the United Center and the fine effort catapulted the Chicago Bulls to their fourth straight win.
The 7-foot Noah tallied 13 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists and the Bulls demolished the New York Knicks, 109-90.
But Noah wasn't a one-man wrecking crew as six other Bulls players logged double figures in points.
Point guard D.J. Augustin had 23 points while Jimmy Butler added 19 and eight boards. Carlos Boozer chipped in 14 and seven rebounds and Taj Gibson clocked 13. Kirk Hinrich and Mike Dunleavy finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Bulls went to work early, leading 16-1 in the opening minutes and 37-16 after one quarter. The Knicks, who shot just 35 of 79 form the field and 5-of-18 from 3-point land, never recovered.
"I love the fact that we're playing together and sharing as a team," Bulls head coach told reporters during his post-game press conference.
Chicago out-rebounded New York, 45-44 and won the assists battle, 30-17.
The Bulls have now won 9 of their last 10 assignments and improved to 33-26, in third place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 21 points while Tim Hardway Jr and Amar'e Stoudemire settled with 14 each. J.R. Smith scored 13 but the Knicks, losers of six straight, plummeted to 21-39 and drifted further away from a playoffs berth. (MDC)
