Charly Suarez is my idol - Jhon Lowie Lastimosa

UNDEFEATED super featherweight Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez is the idol of pro debuting Palarong Pambansa 2024 gold medalist Jhon Lowie Lastimosa of Taguig City.
The 37-year-old Suarez [18-0-0, 10KOs] of Davao del Norte will fight Manuel Avila [26-2-1, 9KOs] of the USA for the WBO International super featherweight title on July 11 at the Civic Center in San Francisco.
“My idol is Charley Suarez because he has proper speed and power,” said the 19-year-old Lastimosa.
Lastimosa will make his debut in professional boxing on June 21 at the DRT Sports Complex in Barangay Putatan, Muntinlupa City.
Jhon Lowie of the Glenford Boxing Gym – Taguig City will clash against fellow debutante Aldrin Tioco of L.C Boxing Gym – Malabon City.
“I'll have to work really hard because the gloves are too small for the pro,” said Lastimosa.
It will be a 4-round light flyweight division.
“The plan is to win the match on June 21st, my first fight, that's all for now,” said Lastimosa, who is also applying with the Philippine national team.
Jhon Lowie is the younger brother of 21-year-old Jhonel “The Terror” Lastimosa [4-0-2, 3KOs] of Ozamis City, who fights Robel dela Cerna of Mati City for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation Youth light flyweight title in the same card.
The Lastimosas are managed by Glenford Ford.
The ‘Bakbakan sa Putatan’ event is promoted by Dave Almario of DS Almario Promotions.
