NBA -- Bulls host Bobcats, aim for 5th straight win
By Marco Del Castillo PhilBoxing.com Sun, 12 Jan 2014
CHICAGO -- The 16-18 Chicago Bulls shoot for a fifth straight win Saturday night when they host the 15-22 Charlotte Bobcats at the United Center.
Tip-off is 7 pm (9 am Manila time)
Riding the wave of a four-game romp, the Bulls have won their last two without 2-time All-Star Luol Deng, who earlier this week was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a couple of draft picks and center Andrew Bynum.
A victory over the Bobcats will match the Bulls' longest winning streak of the season.
After last night's 81-72 triumph against the Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, the Bulls moved up to 5th place in the Eastern Conference with a .471 winning percentage.
Boozer's 19 points and 13 rebounds and Mike Dunleavy's 18 helped clinch win No.4
The Bobcats, meanwhile, are on a two-game losing streak and have lost eight of their last 10 contests. Despite just a .405 win percentage, Charlotte is good enough for an 8th seed in a weak Eastern Conference.
Reeling from a 27-point loss at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves (92-119) the Bobcats aim to jump back in the right direction against the Bulls.
In their last outing with two All-stars in their roster, the Bulls slipped past the Bobcats, 86-81, pulling away in the final minute. Deng led the Bulls in that contest with 21 points. and the Bulls out rebounded Charlotte, 54-44. (MDC)
