SAN FRANCISCO -- After a surprising 3-0 which saw them beat both the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls last week, the Philadelphia 76ers fell back to earth Monday night and lost to the visiting Golden State Warriors, 110-90, at the Wells Fargo Center.
Andre Iguodala, who left the Denver Nuggets to join Golden State in a frenzied free agency summer, led the Warriors charge with 32 points on 7-for-11 shooting.
The Warriors ended the opening quarter up 36-22. They then surged to 66-42 at the halftime break.
Stephen Curry had a triple-double -- 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists -- in 29 minutes of play. "I actually didn't know about it until my last time down the floor and somebody mentioned," Curry told NBA.com about his stellar performance.
David Lee had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors and Klay Thompson added 15.
Michael Carter-Williams and Evan Turned led Philly with 18 each. But it wasn't enough as the Sixers made only 31 of 88 field goals for a low 35.2 percent clip. (RP)
