VIC SALUDAR REGISTERS SECOND KNOCKOUT VICTORY; AIMS TO FIGHT CHINA'S ZOU SHIMING PhilBoxing.com Sun, 15 Sep 2013 ![]() Saludar. Iloilo City, Philippines - ALA Promotions' Tunay Na Lakas Boxing Event yesterday sparked a new hot prospect, "Vicous" Vic Saludar, a 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games bronze medalist and six time national gold medalist, who scored with another spectacular knockout against Camilo Rey Seneres of Iloilo City at 1:25 of the first round. Vic's trainer, Ariel Saludar, said that Seneres was a very experienced opponent who fought in the heavier weight division, who went the distance on his last fight against Bacolod prospect RhayRhay Guanzon who has a record of 14 wins and only 1 loss. Last night was easy work for Saludar as he dismantled Seneres with combination of hard vicious power punching after a knockdown that prompt the referee to save the Seneres from further punishment. ALA Promotions headed by youthful Michael Aldeguer seems to have another great prize fighter brewing in their line-up of young prospects emerging out of their pool of talents. In Victorio's last outing, he made an impressive showing in his pro debut on the undercard of Pinoy Pride XXI at Solaire Resort by knocking out Manila's Juanito Hundante with one punch in the first round. Now with an undefeated record of 2 wins and no losses, Saludar said he is ready to explore more challenges. Saludar said, "I want to stay busy and keep fighting, I will have my manager talk to my promoter ALA Promotions and see if they can give me more of a competitive match." In the amateurs, Saludar fought two time Olympic gold medalist Zou Shimming who have already been showcased twice in Macau China with less impressive showing. Vic Saludar believes that they will meet again in the future, "Zou Shimming beat me in the amateurs because it was fought in their hometown and I did feel that I won against him there. If we fight again in the pro with smaller gloves, it will surely be a different story," said Vic. ![]() |
