BAKBAKAN SA ELORDE: TRONGCO VS WANG FOR WBC INT'L BELT SEP 7 IN MANILA By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sat, 17 Aug 2013 In an war of southpaws, Filipino flyweight Renan Trongco of the paradisaical Island of Palawan in Southern Philippines will battle tough warrior Wang Xinhua from the northeastern Chinese City of Harbin for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Flyweight International Belt on September 7 at the Elorde Sports Complex in Metro Manila, Philippines. The winner will most likely earn a place among WBC world's top-15 flyweights, positioning himself as a possible challenger to the reign of Japanese flyweight ruler Akira Yaegashi (18-3, 9 KOs). The 24 year-old Trongco (13-4, 8 KOs) is no strange to title fights. Indeed, the prot?g? of Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde has already rumbled two times for world title belts: the first time two years ago against Mexican Sammy Gutty in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the most recent one earlier this year against Hekkie Budler in South Africa, losing in both tries. However, the fully-committed Trongco does not give up and is still hungry for glory. Meanwhile, Chinese foe Wang Xinhua (10-6, 0KOs), with plans of his own, aims at getting in the train that one day will make him China's second world champion in pro boxing. That's why Wang keeps on chasing his dreams. Indeed, the 28 year-old Chinese has scored two important wins this year, one in Kunming, China, and the most recent one in Dubai, U.A.E., victories that have paved the way for this September 7 WBC International battle in Manila, Philippines, a fight that could become his big break. Will Filipino Renan Trongco annihilate the dreams of the brave although rather soft-hitting Wang Xinhua to capture the WBC International Belt as well as a coveted place in the WBC world-rankings.... or is the Chinese warrior destined to spoil the plans? The Trongco VS Wang clash for the WBC International Flyweight (112 lbs) Title fight is a another promotion of Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde of Elorde International Productions in association with Roland Delantar, CEO of RCD Land Inc.
