Team Philippines ready for 1st Hongkong Open Memory Championships By Marlon Bernardino PhilBoxing.com Sun, 04 Aug 2013 TEAM PHILIPPINES will bring its act to Hongkong as it competes in the 1st Hongkong Open Memory Championships on September 28 and 29, 2013 in Hongkong. Members of the team are led by 2013 Philippine Memory Open over-all champion Johann Randall P. Abrina, runner-up Mary Sharmaine Deldio Dianquinay and third placer and 2013 Thailand International Junior Open Memory ruler Miguel Iseah J. Landicho, Daniel Inigo Soriano, Sheila Mariz Lobitana, Andrea Josephine Suyat, Emmanuel Salcedo, Maria Esteliza Beran, Daniel Joven Suyat, Ro Linus Jagua, Rommel Landicho Jr., Ana Franceska Guillermo, Jamillah Nanzan, Patrick Angelo Miranda, Juliana Beatrize Tunay, Alianna Tan, Juliana Toledo, Juliana Mercedes Dela Cruz and Kenneth Lucena. The team is being supported by Antipolo-Rizal Memory Sports Council Inc., Philippine Memory Sports Council Inc., LNJ Pop Music & Academic Tutorial Services, Inc., Lores Plaza, Antipolo, Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC). The two-day tournament follows the World Memory Sports Council standard of events that include Names and Faces (5 minutes), Binary Numbers (5 minutes), Random Numbers (15 minutes), Abstract Images (15 minutes), Speed Numbers (5 minutes), Historic / Future Dates (5 minutes), Playing Cards (10 minutes), Random Words (5 minutes), Spoken Numbers (100 seconds & 300 seconds) and Speed Cards. According to Delegation Head/ Coach Marissa Deldio Dianquinay, Team Philippines is also preparing for this year's 2013 World Memory Championships on November 30 to December 2 in London, England.
