Expect non-stop actions tonight when the Cobra Tunay na Lakas Boxing hits off the City of Smiles with great fight cards seeing action at 6PM at the BAYS Center here. Main event fighter Jimmy Paypa (12-2 win-loss, 4KOs) of Cebu City and Christian Abila (9-11-3 win-loss-draw, 1KO) of Metro Manila told Bacolod-based sports scribes, during the press conference yesterday, that they will bring out a spectacular performance tonight before the expected huge Bacolod crowd converging at the venue. Both fighters, seeing action in a 10-round clash at 125 lbs., agreed that somehow a little pressure on their part to meet the expectations of the Bacolod boxing fans given the recent achievements of hometown heroes Merlito ?Tiger? Sabillo and ?King? Arthur Villanueva. On the other hand, ALA gym rising star Juren Labordo (9 wins, 5KOs) of Brgy. Pahanocoy in Bacolod City is very happy that he has given the opportunity to fight before his hometown. When asked to size-up his opponent, Ricky Sabia of the Elorde Stable, Labordo said that he might force his adversary to retire in the 5th round. Accepting the challenge, Sabia said that he will stop Labordo in 4th round. Roland Servania, Genesis younger brother, who is also fighting in the undercard match admitted that it?s quite hard fighting behind the shadow of his brother, but stressed to be at his best when he enters the ring tonight. Servania of Brgy. Pta. Taytay, who will be fighting against Jonas Sultan from Zamboanga del Norte, said that he knew what are the expectations of Bacolod fans. ?I idolized my brother and I won?t fail him as well as my hometown,? he said. They also stressed that they wanted to follow the footsteps of my brother, Merlito, Arthur, and Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes, thus promised to show their best performance tonight. Other fighters seeing action tonight are Junjesie ?Tornado? Igbos of Himamaylan City putting his unblemished record at stake against Lyndon Castillo of Butuan City in a 4-round fight at 126 lbs. Romel Redondon, on the other hand, of Bacolod City takes on Raul Yu of Butuan City in another 4-round match at 115 lbs. as Brgy. Pahanocoy-natives Alvin Sibugan and John Rey Melligen will fight separate rivals in the 4-round tussles. Sibugan takes on Steve Recaborda of Dumaguete City in the 110 lbs. limit while Millegen battles Jemart Amlani of Zamboanga del Norte at 126 pounds. Another Bacole?o Roniel Parcon faces Vonjeryl Gino of Butuan City in a 4-round fight at 130 lbs.
