Rex Tso.
Hong Kong Rising Star Rex Tso (9-0, 6KO?s) impressively retained his WBC Asian Continental Super Flyweight Belt by scoring a fourth round technical KO over veteran Thailand warrior Wandee Singwancha (67-17-1, 18KO?s) last night at the plush Convention & Exhibition Center in Wanchai, Hong Kong.

The 25-year-old Hong Konger Rex Tso dominated the battle, landing the more telling blows and knocking down the 33-year-old battle-tested Thailander with a solid straight punch.

After one minute of fight in round four, the Thailander?s hand got badly injured, forcing his corner to surrender. The development prompted top third man Bruce McTavish to declare Rex Tso the winner by technical knockout at the 1:04 mark of round 4.

Prevost vs Fai.

Veteran referee Bruce McTavish (C) is the third man in the ring on the Tso-Wandee Singwancha fight. To the right is promoter Naris Singwancha.

In the same card, Filipino veteran Edgar Gabejan (24-29-6, 7KO?s) of Binangonan, Rizal Province, defeated by split decision tough Festus Omondi (8-5, 6KO?s) of Uganda.

In addition, Filipino fighter Alvin ?Bambino? Cooney drew in his first pro combat with local veteran Hong Kong fighter Chan Sin Man.

In a world title clash, Female WBC Atomweight World Champion Momo Konseki (16-2-1, 4KO?s) of Tokyo, Japan, made her successful 11th world title defense by dismantling in six rounds former WBC interim champ Eun-Young Huh of Korea.

In another title clash, veteran Thailander Ekapol Yothinpanawet (14-1, 10KO?s) captured the vacant WBC ABCO Super Lightweight crown after demolishing unheralded Mike Tumbaga (12-19-2, 0KO?s) in round 2.

Tumbaga ended the combat with a bleeding nose after a solid punch from the 34-year-old Thailander Ekapol Yothinpanawet, also a muay thai combatant.

In heavyweight action, French debutant Olivier Prevost clearly made a good use of his height and reach to dominate and outpoint Macau?s Lam Keng Fai.

In one of the preliminaries, Hong Kong bantamweight A.O. Chu won a 4-rounder clash against Thailander Kong Kiatpracha.

Also, 22-year-old super welterweight Ng Kuok Kun of Hong Kong outsmarted Nibesh Ghale, 17, of Nepal.

The exciting international boxing card in Hong Kong was a production of promoter Jay Lau, director of DEF Boxing.
