JACK ASIS READY TO RUMBLE
PhilBoxing.com Mon, 13 May 2013

?The Assassin? Jack Asis will make his ring return on June 7 in his adopted hometown of Toowoomba. This time the Phillipino star will square off against Argentina?s Jose Saez who boasts an impressive 22 wins with 12 by KO and is coming off a close points loss for the NABA title in Canada just 3 weeks ago.
Asis is in fine form himself coming off a seven fight winning streak which includes knockout victories over Australian champions, former world title challengers and most recently a stunning display of boxing en route to a unanimous decision win over tough Indonesian Revo Rengkung.
However Jose Saez presents a new challenge to Asis, one which his trainer and manager Brendon Smith says will be his biggest career test to date.
?I am extremely happy with this match up? said Smith.
?Everything is starting to come together for Jack. He has great support now which will be out in force on June 7 when Toowoomba can expect to see a sea of ?Assassin? Asis red headbands in the Rumours International crowd and this growing support has been reflected in his last performances?.
?I feel with another good performance in this fight it could be title time for Jack, however we are certainly not looking past Jose Saez. This will definitely be Jacks biggest test to date and he will need to be on his game to win the fight?.
This fight will take place on the undercard of ?Smithy Brings the big Fights 4? which will be headlined by current WBF world Middleweight champion and WBO world number 8 Les ?Lock N Load? Sherrington when he takes on Paraguay champion Jorge Gomez Perez. The undercard will also feature local stars Will Young, Kris George, Josh Webb and English import and now adopted local Darren Askew.
Tickets to ?Smithy Brings the Big fights 4? will remain the same as the previous events, that is $45 for general and $75 for ringside.
