KONCZ: NO DEAL YET ON PACQUIAO FIGHT

New York ? Deals were not finalized this weekend as to who and when Filipino boxing star, Manny Pacquiao will fight next. Pacquiao?s adviser, Michael Koncz who was in New York this weekend told Philboxing that ?it is still being worked on.?
?We are now looking at October,? replied Koncz when asked if September was still the target month for Pacquiao?s return.
Koncz also said that the fight is still being planned for Asia, and that it can be either Macau or Singapore.
?No one yet,? was his reply when asked if an opponent was picked already last weekend as suggested by Top Rank CEO, Bob Arum who mentioned in previous reports that one will be chosen at the end of last week here in New York.
?Maybe next week,? added Koncz on when a deal may be reached. He also refused to name who the leading candidate was but he nodded if the list still pertains to the boxers that Arum mentioned in the past. That includes rematches with Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley or fights with Brandon Rios and Mike Alvarado.
