OVERMATCHED SUICO STOPPED IN 5 ROUNDS BY WORLD RATED FLETCHER
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Mon, 08 Apr 2013

An over-matched former world lightweight title challenger Randy Suico was stopped at the end of round five when he faced WBA No. 5 ranked middleweight Jarrod ?Left Jab? Fletcher of Australia in a PBA middleweight title fight in Altona North, Victoria, Australia.
It was clear that Fletcher had a great advantage in size over the Philippines No. 2 ranked welterweight Suico who weighed a mere 70 kilos or 154 pounds which was well under the middleweight limit of 72.50 kilos or 159.5 pounds.
According to East Side Boxing, Fletcher capitalized on his size advantage stalking Suico and looking for an early end to the fight.
Fletcher caught Suico with a flurry of punches that threatened to end the fight early but Suico somehow survived as he continued to backpedal. The Filipino demonstrated a great fighting heart and despite being dominated by his Australian opponent connected with some solid lefts although it lacked the power to bother Fletcher.
The PABA champion hammered Suico with some big shots and almost had him out in round five before Suico?s corner threw in the towel at the end of the round.
With the loss the 33 year old Suico dropped to 31-9-1 with 26 knockouts while Fletcher, a former Olympian and Australian middleweight champion who is aiming for a world title shot against Anthony Mundine by the end of this year, improved to 15-1 with 9 knockouts.
