Absence of Fil-Am trainer cost Somsak WBA title!

Sources from Thailand have informed that former WBA superbantam champ Somsak Sitchachawal made a costly move in not insisting that his Filipino-American trainer oversee his preparation for his titular defense against Panama's Celestino Caballero.
A very reliable source has informed that Somsak's manager Boonsong Preampee had made sure that Fil-Am trainer Bobby Villaver will not be in the corner, as the Thai manager, who also sidelines as trainer, wanted to keep all the media attention to himself.
Reportedly Somsak was pleading with his manager to bring back Villaver, who was the chief architect of the Thai fighter's win over Mahyar Monshipour for the WBA crown last March. The repeated request by Somsak fell on deaf ears, which resulted in the latter's dethronement by Caballero.
