BOOM-BOOM'S FOE TO BE REPLACED!

Undefeated Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista will not be facing Chilean Moises Gutierrez after all.
The two fighters were supposed to duke it out in a 10-round bout underneath the September 16 Marco Antonio Barrera-Rocky Juarez rematch.
Bautista's chief handler, Tony Aldeguer, revealed in an interview yesterday at the ALA Gym that the Golden Boy Promotions of Oscar De la Hoya is still trying to find a credible opponent for the Filipino star.
Aldeguer stressed that Sampson Lewkowicz, matchmaker extraordinaire of the GBP, has told them that Gutierrez's camp were denied their US visa, thus he will not be able to make the trip.
Bautista, together with Filipino trainer Ala Villamor, will leave next week for the US to continue his training at Freddie Roach's Wild Card Gym. Set to join them later is another hot prospect, the undefeated Alex John Banal.
?It is unfortunate that this happened,? says Sammy Gello-ani, Bautista's Filipino promoter. ?But we trust Golden Boy can find another worthy opponent for Boom-Boom in time for September 16?.
Boxing fans have been clamoring for a worthy opponent for the undefeated prospect and even more eager to see Boom-Boom in a world title fight.
Bautista's camp, however, maintains that they are not rushing things for the young Boholano phenom.
?Let us not forget that the Sept. 16th fight is only the 4th encounter of Bautista in the States and only his second in the heavier division. He has to get used to fighting in 122 lbs weight where he will be campaigning with the hope of ultimately getting his much awaited title shot next year,? assures promoter Sammy Gello-ani.
