PANCHO VILLA FEATURE, BOOM BOOM EXHIBITION ON "THE MAIN EVENT"

A short feature on Pancho Villa, the first Filipino world boxing champion and the initial inductee from the Philippines into the boxing "Hall of Fame" will be telecast on the August 6 presentation of the top-rated weekly boxing show "The Main Event" at 1:00 p.m.over RPN 9.
The feature marks the 105th birth anniversary of Pancho Villa on August 1 and is in response to a Philboxing.com article by Alex Vidal and requests on the Manny Pacquiao website for footage of Pancho Villa in action
Also included in the show sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum will be the three-round exhibition bout between emerging ring sensation Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista and veteran Edwin Gastador during the highly successful "Battle of the Undefeated" fight card at the Island City Mall Car Park in Tagbilaran City.
The fights were part of the fabulous Sandugo Festival hosted by popular Mayor-sportsman Dan Neri Lim.
In the main event, Fabio :Killer" Marfa battles rated Alfred Nagal in a ten round battle at the sprawling Metropolis Mall in Alabang where a huge crowd watched the fights at the Ringside Boxing Club on the fourth level of the Mall.
