MEDELLIN FIGHT CARD RESULT

CEBU ? In a rather bizarre series of events, only one professional fight was held for the ?Fiesta Bakbakan? fight card in the northern municipality of Medellin,Cebu. Jeson Inso beat Joel Soterol by unanimous decision after four rounds. The scores read 39-36, 39-36 and 38-37. Soterol was deducted a point for successive low blows in the final round.
The card?s main event, Sonny Katiandagho vs Ryan Maano was cancelled because Katiandagho had several episodes of vomiting due to motion sickness while travelling for three hours by bus from Cebu City to the fight venue.
Katiangdagho tried to rehydrate when he arrived but had numbness and weakness on his arms and was still light headed minutes before fight time. He was assessed as unfit to fight.
The other scheduled pro bout,Gerry Castroverde vs Arnel Caoktoy was cancelled before the weigh-in because Caoktoy suffered a hand injury. There were two exhibition bouts between Castroverde and Alvin Campuz and Gilbert Magos vs Jonathan Francisco.
There were nine amateur bouts featuring local standouts.
