Emanuel Steward is bringing big time boxing back! PhilBoxing.com Fri, 02 Mar 2012 Pre-St. Patrick?s Day Brawl featuring, Irish star, Andy Lee. For the first time since the Golden Kronk era, Emanuel Steward of Kronk Gym is promoting a night of professional boxing on Saturday, MARCH 10th, at THE SUBURBAN COLLECTION SHOWPLACE in NOVI, MI. Kronk Fight Night will feature a full slate of bouts from Steward?s latest roster of soon-to-be-champions. Just in time for St. Patrick?s Day, the headliner in the main event will be Kronk?s Irish star, ANDY LEE. Lee has fought on national television 6 times, his record is 27-1. In his last bout, he defeated the only fighter to defeat him. His victory was shown on HBO. Lee?s opponent is Alexis Camacho, his record 17-3 (16 KO) out of Austin, Texas. The new crop of Kronk?s Professional Fighters include, Tony Harrison, LeAndre White, Jacob Bonas, Ernie Garza of Saginaw, MI and Wade Tolle Jr. of Monroe, MI. Equipped with a new set of Kronk boxing stars, International Boxing Hall of Fame trainer Steward proudly states, ?This is the most talented group of youngsters I have had since the days of Tommy Hearns, Hilmer Kenty, Mickey Goodwin, Milton McCrory and Jimmy Paul?. Steward is world-renowned for making Detroit?s Kronk Gym famous for developing youngsters into great fighters. He is currently a boxing commentator for HBO. He has trained/managed more world champions than anyone in the history of the boxing (43). ?Many of the youngsters on this card have the talent to become world champions. The event expects to be a sold out show?. ?ANDY LEE is tentatively scheduled to challenge, WBC World Champion JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR., on June 2, 2012. His title bout will be aired on HBO.
