JACK ASIS AND CZAR AMONSOT FIGHTING FOR A PURPOSE

PhilBoxing.com

For Philipino boxer Czar Amonsot, there is one night in Las Vegas in 2007 that haunts his career. It was the night he met Michael Katsidis in a brutal 12 round world title fight, which resulted in Katsidis taking the win on points and leaving both fighters hospitalized.

However, it is not the ferocity or brutality of that fight that haunts him, rather the blemish of the loss, which will forever be on his record. It is this that drives him as he steps into the ring on March 3 in Toowoomba in an attempt to take another step towards redemption and a rematch with Michael Katsidis.

In the opposite corner will be another fighter with a connection to Katsidis, Singdet Sithsaithong. Singdet was a regular sparring partner for Michael in his Thailand training camps. With a record of 21 fights, 13 wins 7 of them by KO he is also a former muaythai star having won the prestigious Thailand Muaythai Championship and competing in over 200 fights.

Czar is excited about this fight.

?Anyone who can step in with Michael Katsidis even in sparring, knows their way around a boxing ring. This is what I want. It is going to be an exciting fight and I will prove I deserve another shot with Michael Katsidis? he said.

The other fighter on Czar?s hit list is Lenny Zappavigna. He said he would love to fight the former World champion who is also one of Australia?s most exciting fighters.

Also fighting with something to prove on March 3 is fellow Philippino and current Australian Junior Welterweight Champion Jack ?The Assassin? Asis. Jack has been on a roll of late coming off 3 big knockout wins over two former Australian champions and the number one ranked featherweight in the USA.

There is however also one fight on Jack?s resume that he would like to redeem and that is his loss against current IBF world champion Billy ?The Kid? Dib earlier in his career.

?I?m excited about this fight on March 3 and I have trained very hard? said Asis.

?I need to put on a great show so that people take notice. I am working very hard at getting a rematch and a shot at Billy Dib?s IBF Featherweight world title.?

While that fight is number 1 on his preferences, there is another fight Jack would like.

?I would love to fight the undefeated featherweight Joel Brunker and hand him his first loss?.

What?s lays ahead for the future of these two fighters is unknown. However what is known is that they are both hungry for redemption and on March 3 at Rumours international in Toowoomba they are coming to prove a point.

Tickets for the night are selling fast at Smithy?s Gym ph. 46 378 298 and The National Hotel in Toowoomba. They are $75 for Ringside and $45 for General seating. Don?t Miss Out.
