Lapu-lapu City - Ten amateur bouts showcasing boxers from the cities of Lapu-lapu, Mandaue ,Cebu and nearby towns opened the ?free to the public? boxing event held Sunday at the Basak Gym of Lapu-lapu City. Orlan Taneco of Basak won on points against Harvin Libron of Abuno in 48 kg category. Uelmark Dignos of Basak won by RSC 2nd round against Julius Cando of Phil-Aust gym (48 kgs).
Mark Kevin Soreno of Abuno beat Greg Presbitero of Consolacion on points (48 kgs), In the 45 kg class, Catubay Intor of Camotes won on points against Ting Wagas of Lilo-an and Melmark Dignos of Basak won by RSC 3rd round against Jeffrey Estella of the Phil-Aust gym.
Roel Tunacao of UV-Mandaue beat Alfred Sungkad of Bangkal on points (39 kgs). In the 36 kg category, Richard Rama of Phil-Aust gym beat John Ric Inso of Basak on points, Ariel Sibay of UV-Mandaue won on points against Juner Comilang of Basak.
Juny Vic Inso of Basak won on points against Eghan Lovino of Cabangcalan (32 kgs) and Eran Boyose of Mabolo beat Renato Inso on points (26 kgs).
The boxing promotion was held with the cooperation of Cong. Luigi Quisumbing (Cebu 6th district), Barangay Capt. Isabelito Darnayla and Akira Sato of TI Yamagata Promotions.
